I just posted a Tweet that is worth repeating:

"I am reading an article that says this January has had the highest temperatures on record in many European countries. Still we do nothing but talk. This is like ignoring the Check Engine Light on your car or removing the fuse for its warning indicator panel."

Are we all deaf, blind, selfish, or just stupid? The answer is probably all of those adjectives. If I have to pick one it is SELFISH. It won't become a disaster in our lifetimes so we will enjoy our lives while we can. Then it is somebody else's problem - like our kids'.

I just heard the Prime Minister of Greece (Mitsotakis - I didn't know him either) saying that Greece is now running on 50% renewable energy! This is a country which not long ago was flat on its butt as the charity case of Europe! If they can do it why can't the rest of us? Maybe we have to hit rock bottom first.

This is a cause for Giuliani! If he manages to stay out of jail and wants to gain the kind of prominence he enjoyed after 9/11, this could be the chance. Forget Trump - most people want to if they would only be honest.

I like the idea. He would have to present REAL evidence this time - not the fake news variety - but there is lots of it to find. Let's hear a speech full of fire like those he perfected while he hit the road for Trump's campaign. What a way to redeem himself.

Better spokespeople would be Barack or Michelle or both. The current trend will mean the end of the world as we know it. It requires a Churchill or Roosevelt to fight this war the way they did in WWII.

This IS a war and the invasion has begun. Amazing how the USA alone ramped up to build thousands of planes, tanks, ships, and other weapons (one infamous one) when Germany, Italy, and Japan threatened her good life.

That good life is definitely under threat again. There won't be any Pearl Harbor. It is not somebody else's war. It belongs to all of us. Unfortunately the wealthiest countries are the most guilty parties this time. The poorest pay the highest price as they always do.

Never mind hoarding COVID masks and sanitizer. Stock up on gas masks and floatation devices and hope somehow your Heart Will Go On.
